Glitz and glamour as salon gets its own make-over

January 9th 2013

The popular Cheviot Court hair salon received a make-over of its own at the end of 2012, meaning it can carry on ensuring all the residents look their best throughout the year.

The salon, which is open to all residents three days a week, has been decorated in a black and red colour scheme with wall paper featuring the queen of glamour - Marilyn Monroe.

Administrator Heather Wileman said: “It has proved a big hit with everyone. They say it is very chic and they feel as if they are in a London salon!”

The salon was able to remain open during the work, thanks to the ingenuity of the home’s maintenance team and hairdressers Sonia and Barbara and now even the gentlemen are enjoying a trim at ‘Marilyn’s’.
