Staff at the Care UK run Redwood care home, Guildford have been honoured at their NVQ Red Carpet Awards and Graduation Party.
The awards ceremony recognised staff who have completed levels of the NVQ as well as those who have given exceptional service.
Three members of staff, Kathy Weller, Jenny Eastwood and Barbara Jeromin were given awards for “Excellence in Service to Redwood”, while Christine Newland was recognised for her “willingness to go the extra mile”.
Three team members, Abdullai Barrie, Cathy Chen and Yue Wang were named “Outstanding Newcomers to the Care Industry”.
Linfang Bao, Dan Dai, Xiaodan Qian, Ting Shao, Jing Zhou, Yan Zhang, and Meng Jiao Gao received certificates for reaching NVQ Level 2, while Harminder Luthra, Christine Newland, Emma Harman and Anna Seredyka were given NVQ Level 2 pins.
Collecting NVQ Level 3 awards were Emma Harman, Linda Devonshire and Muriel Hartnick.
Three members of staff received awards for Therapeutic Massage for Older People. They wereLynne Munday, Jenny Eastwood and Anna Seredyka.
The Manager of Redwood care home, Gillian Hudson said: “We are very fortunate at Redwood to have such a dedicated team. I know that their dedication is appreciated by all our residents and their families.
“I think this was a very appropriate way to recognise that dedication and I congratulate all the staff who were honoured and have demonstrated their commitment.”
