A local care home is giving the people of Halstead the opportunity to join the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September and raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
From 2pm to 4pm, the team at Colne View care home is opening the doors for afternoon tea. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely cuppa with residents, along with a tempting selection of homemade cakes and treats – all of which will be available for a small donation to Macmillan.
Omar Taylor, home manager at Colne View, said: “We are all looking forward to joining the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. This charity event is so simple and yet it gives us a wonderful opportunity to invite the local community, family and friends to join us for tea, cake and a chat, while raising funds to support the vital services and support provided by Macmillan.”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Last year alone the initiative raised a record-breaking £27.6 million for the charity, thanks to people from all over the UK hosting coffee mornings and making donations on the day to Macmillan.
