Appleby House is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
On Saturday 21stApril, from 11am-5pm, Appleby House has organised a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the open day. Visitors at Appleby House can look forward to an afternoon of live entertainment from a local choir, as well as music from Chris Clark and Rock & Roll band, Semi Circle.
For younger guests, there will be a bouncy castle and a special visit from Millers Ark Farm. A selection of refreshments will be on offer, including a delicious barbecue and cake buffet.
Creative Minds will also be hosting a workshop at the event, and there will be a special visit from Mo-Ichodo Karate Junior Club, who will be providing demonstrations throughout the day. The Care UK team are also looking forward to welcoming Age Concern and the Dementia Action Alliance, who will have stalls in the home’s garden – and will be on hand to provide help and advice.
