Echelforde is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 12pm-4pm, the team at Echelforde will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Echelforde has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. There will be a selection of tasty treats, prepared by the care home’s chefs, as well as live entertainment from local singer, Dave Mac. Visitors will be able to browse a number of stalls on the day, selling DVDs, books, tidy bears, games and bric-a-brac.
The friendly team at Echelforde will also be on hand to give advice and information on the different types of care they provide.
Jagpal Singh, home manager at Echelforde, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Echelforde has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Ashford.”
