Forrester Court is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
On Friday 20th April, from 10am-4pm, the team at Forrester Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Forrester Court has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include live music and a raffle. There will also be delicious Caribbean food for all to enjoy, and a special visit from children at a local school and nursery to join in the fun.
Sholayide Adedugbe-Adeyemi, home manager at Forrester Court, said: “At Forrester Court, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours, and building relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together, and we can’t wait for what promises to be a fun-filled afternoon.”
