Lennox House is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
On Friday 20th April, from 10am-5pm, the team at Lennox House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Lennox House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, there will be live entertainment from a Pearly King and Queen and a local singer. Guests will be able to pay a visit to the petting area, where they will be able to meet Easter chick hatchlings. There will also be a fun raffle and refreshments including tea and cake.
Mary Tengenesha, home manager at Lennox House, said: “At Lennox House, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours better and build relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day, showcasing all that the home has to offer.”
