Skylark House is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 2pm-4.30pm, the team at Skylark House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Skylark House has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. As well as enjoying delicious refreshments and a cream tea prepared by the home’s chefs, visitors will also have the chance to make some new furry and reptilian friends with the animals from Zoolab.
Local school children from Holbrook Primary School will be performing a collection of songs, and there will also be live music and entertainment from local guitarist, Tommy Parsons.
Devendra Lallchand, home manager at Skylark House, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Skylark House has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Horsham.”
