Norfolk House raises awareness of dementia

May 26th 2017

Norfolk House marked Dementia Awareness Week by holding a reminiscence session.

The residents enjoyed reminiscing over an afternoon tea. They also added their fondest memories on a board which will be displayed in the home.

Home manager, Sabu Prothasis, said, “At Norfolk House we are always looking for ways of raising awareness of dementia. Our residents really enjoyed the event and had a lovely afternoon sharing their stories.

“For those looking for more information on caring for a loved one with dementia, our new guide, ‘A helping hand’, is available at the home and can offer further support and guidance.”
