Pupil from years 3 and 4 from Oak House School joined us for the afternoon and delighted residents with their beautiful singing and very generous gifts.
The group, some dressed up in Victorian costume, sang a selection of much loved songs at a concert, in our lounge, for residents.
Customer Relations Manager Kia Mathieson said: “The children sang beautifully and as well as some old favourite songs there were some about caring that we all enjoyed. The residents always enjoy visits from schools and they had a wonderful time talking to the children.
“A former resident of our home had been closely associated with the school and, after she passed away, they wanted to say thank you for caring for her. As well as singing for us they brought along gifts for every resident.
“Everyone was touched at how thoughtful the gifts were – they had clearly thought of our residents’ likes and interests as there were puzzle books, chocolates, aftershave and perfume.”
We hope to see more of the pupils and teachers of Oak House and we will keep you informed of any news and events on this site.
