Priors House is celebrating after it was recognised at a national awards ceremony.
The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 100 care homes nationwide across Care UK’s RCS division.
Harvinder Rai, deputy manager at Priors House, beat off stiff competition to win the Deputy Manager of the Year award, one of the 22 accolades handed out during the event.
The panel of judges praised Harvinder for her outstanding leadership at the home she has worked at since it opened back in 2014. It was however, Harvinder’s thoroughness and attention to detail, ensuring only the best care is given, which judges felt set her apart from competitors in the category.
Described as an amazing deputy manager, Harvinder is supportive, easy to talk to, and a critical member of the team. She shows strong leadership skills and is well respected by colleagues and residents alike.
Harvinder Rai at Priors House said: “The RCS award ceremony was a truly inspirational evening – it was brilliant to hear about the compassion and dedication of team members, as well as the positive impact this has had on residents, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.
“I am incredibly passionate about my job and ensuring we give residents the best care possible. I never expected to win an award, and I am delighted that my efforts have been recognised in the RCS Awards.
“I would like to thank my colleagues for their kind words and all their hard work in making Priors House a wonderful place to live – every single person is such a valuable part of the team and I really appreciate their commitment to the home.”
