Residents at Sandfields were joined by rainbows and guides for a special carol service, as well as a visit from Father Christmas’s reindeer and a ‘Little Donkey’ to help spread festive cheer at the home.
The youngsters visited the home to perform a selection of traditional carols and with lyrics on hand, residents joined in with their favourite songs.
Deanna Lane, home manager at Sandfields, said: “We were delighted to be joined by local rainbows and guides for a special performance of some of the residents’ best-loved carols. It was fantastic to see friendships form across the generations and look forward to welcoming the youngsters back soon.
“As with everything we do here at Sandfields, we hope to make all the residents feel at home, and at Christmas we do this with plenty of traditional festive activities. The animal visit proved to be a great success and you could see from residents’ reactions just how thrilled they were to get up close to the four-legged guests.”
