Staff, residents and their relatives welcomed members of the public to our home for the Cherry Orchard fete on Saturday 13th August.
Our residents at the home, made bunting and decorations for the event which included all the traditional fun of a summer fete including candy floss, raffles, bric-a-brac, tombola, balloons and much more.
Nursing home manager Celia Caton said: “Our 40 residents planned the event with staff and many of them helped out on the stalls along with their families.
“The residents enjoy open days as they love visits from children and also like to see any pets that come along. We have a wonderful relationship with the local community. The community police have a stall and a local company called Fun Day Entertainment Ltd, owned by a man whose father used to be a resident at Cherry Orchard, provided equipment such as the bouncy castle and coconut shy.”
