Priors House is inviting local people to visit the home on Saturday 17th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 1.30pm-4.30pm, the team at Priors House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Priors House has organised a world cuisine party to celebrate the open day. Guests can sample freshly cooked foods from around the world, from Caribbean specialities to classic Italian dishes, all prepared by head chef, Marcin Ignatowicz and deputy head chef, Nikolina Dimitrova. Alongside the culinary delights, there will also be live music from Maggie O'Hara and the home will be screening ‘Summer Holiday’ in the cinema.
Francine Summers, home manager at Priors House, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Priors House has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Leamington Spa.”
