Residents at Larkland House were treated to a special performance of ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
Larkland House opened its doors to Tickled Pink Productions for the interactive musical show.
Residents were joined by representatives from Age Concern Bracknell Forest to sing along to the most famous songs from the 1930s classic, and were treated to a fish and chip supper afterwards.
The performance kicked off Larkland House’s busy festive programme, which will also feature Christmas carols and a seasonal fair.
Home manager, Shawndell Barker, said: “The community has always been an important part of life here at Larkland House, so we felt it was important to invite our local Age Concern day centre to enjoy a musical performance with us to kick off our festive programme.
“Most of the residents were still children when ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was released in 1939, so this performance was also a brilliant opportunity for them to remember their younger years. It was fantastic to see how engaged they were during the singalong – the show was a hit for guests and residents alike!”
