Tor-Na-Dee is opening its doors to the local community for a special celebration to mark the upcoming royal wedding.
On Saturday 19th May, from 11.30am-1.30pm, Tor-Na-Dee is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be adorned with union jack bunting and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding. The care team will also be ‘dressed to impress’, and refreshments will be served to the guests throughout the afternoon.
Maureen Barrett, home manager at Tor-Na-Dee, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate!
“Here at Tor-Na-Dee, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Aberdeen to the home to toast the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
