Ellesmere House received a top ranking two-star rating following a recent inspection by the CSCI, the Commission for Social Care Inspection - the highest rating a new home can achieve in its first inspection.
Ellesmere House nursing and residential home for older people is a modern home, with bright open spaces, a sensory garden, and a working garden where residents can plant and grow whatever they choose. The home has 60 single rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
The unannounced CSCI inspection involved inspectors spending 10 hours at the home talking to the management, the staff, and residents and their families.
Therese Laurent, home manager at Ellesmere House, said: “This is a terrific rating for a brand new home. I am so proud of our staff who make sure that the residents receive the care and attention they deserve. I really want our residents to feel happy here”.
Our unique Activity Based Care approach concentrates on abilities and enables residents to stay as active and independent as possible. This is achieved through supporting residents to continue activities which they have enjoyed throughout their lives at whatever level they are able.
