Our Orchard day club is currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and we will be reviewing the reopening date of the club in spring 2021.
Currently the day club is helping to support relatives visiting loved ones in our residential care homes.
We offer a friendly day club where everyone is valued and plays a part.
The Orchard Centre in Epsom, Surrey, is a purpose-built day club with a friendly and fun atmosphere. We offer flexible, tailored daytime care for people aged 50 and over who are living in their own homes and who may be being cared for by family or friends. Many of our members are living with dementia.
Our day club offers members a change of scene, a chance to do fun activities in a supportive environment, and a delicious and nutritious two-course meal every session.
Choose how to spend the day
The Orchard Centre is all about fun and friendship, so we offer lots of different activities and encourage members to do whatever they feel like doing each day. We're always trying out new things too. Every member of the day club has a say in the service we provide. Members choose what activities we offer, they organise parties and lend a hand with everyday tasks, so they can stay as independent and active as possible.
Our Epsom day club is set in a large, circular room with high ceilings. There’s an activity area and a dining area as well as a quiet room. Outside, our lovely garden has raised flower beds and comfortable seating – perfect for enjoying some time outdoors.
Eating well, together
When a person is living with dementia, their appetite can change, and it can be a challenge knowing what they have eaten and when. Mealtimes at the Orchard Centre are very sociable and feel just like a family affair. We offer two tasty and nutritious courses, and there’s always plenty to go around. Everyone helps to set the tables, and there’s tea and coffee afterwards too.
