Everything about life here is about supporting residents to keep active and independent.
At Care UK we believe that keeping active is the key to staying independent. That’s why the team at Pear Tree Court are committed to helping residents to get the most out of each day, doing tasks and enjoying pastimes that are meaningful to them.
Keeping connected
With the home’s electronic tablets, as well as more traditional means like letters and cards, we’ve been able to continue to support residents to stay connected with loved ones, as well as continue the connections we’ve build with local schools, clubs and groups. We have fantastic relationships with the local community who have been incredibly supportive – we’ve even made some new friends as well as kept in touch with old ones!
Enjoying food and meal times
Mealtimes are always a big event at Pear Tree Court. Residents are free to choose where they sit in our bistro-style dining rooms – each table is laid with crisp table linen, crockery and glassware – and select what they would like from the tasty and nutritious menu options created by our chef-led catering team.
We prepare all dishes from fresh ingredients, cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements, and there’s plenty to choose from as well as hot and cold options.
Our team support every resident, whatever their abilities, to dine with dignity. Residents who are living with dementia are supported to choose what they would like from delicious plated options.
For those that need or prefer it, we also have an extended in-room dining menu which offers plenty of delicious options, from hot meals to sandwiches and lighter bites, all freshly prepared by the chef-led team.
