Place Court Wellbeing Centre has a relaxed but lively atmosphere, with an open-plan layout that encourages everyone to socialise.

We’re located just across the road from Place Court care home. We have a spacious open-plan lounge and dining area, with a kitchen off to one side. We have two activity rooms, plus a hair salon, a shower room and a quiet room where we have a bed that members can use if they want to have a rest during the day. Outside we have a small but attractive garden.

Place Court Wellbeing Centre is open three days a week, from Wednesday to Friday. Our sessions run from 9am to 4pm, but we also offer respite care – members using our respite care service can come along for just an hour or two, or whatever length of time suits them.

Individuals are usually referred to us by social services or Newmarket hospital, but families and carers can contact us directly to book a place too. We always carefully assess each person’s needs and then invite them for a free ‘taster day’ where we can get to know each other better. Some members use a free community bus to travel to the centre in the morning and then home again at the end of the day.
