At Snowdrop House, we believe in helping residents to stay as active and independent as possible. Our activity co-ordinators plan, organise and run activities based around residents’ interests.
Residents are encouraged to mix within small and socially distanced groups within the home and garden, where they are free to simply relax, or take part in the varied lifestyle programme. The activities that we run at Snowdrop House range from baking and gardening, to quizzes, music sessions and games. We encourage each resident to suggest ideas for activities and choose what they would like to do - we’ll always do our best to make them happen.
Enjoying good food
Good food plays a key part in the health and wellbeing of care home residents, and they really look forward to what our catering teams serve up. Our chefs plan and prepare delicious and nutritious meals made from the best ingredients and cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements. As well as our bistro-style dining rooms, we also offer in-room dinning for resident who may prefer to or need additional distancing.
We believe in offering plenty of choice to tempt even the most fastidious of appetites, and there are bound to be tasty snacks and treats on offer for morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Time to celebrate
We always make a fuss when there’s a birthday or anniversary too, and will be happy to work with you to make your loved one’s day extra special. We make sure that there’s always something to look forward to, and we’ll be sure to celebrate annual events like Valentine’s Day or religious and cultural festivals with special food and drink, events and activities.
Keeping happy and healthy
The team at Snowdrop House are committed to ensuring that residents stay happy and healthy. We have a strong working relationship with our local health centres, GPs and other Health Care Professionals, and are finding new ways of working with them such as offering Virtual GP visits to all residents.
