At Sunningdale Court care home, we support residents to be independent
Every resident is treated with dignity and respect at Sunningdale Court. We support people to be as independent as possible: we know when to step back and let them do something for themselves, and where they need more assistance
Enjoying every day
We believe in enabling you to do whatever brings you meaning and satisfaction, in an environment where you feel supported, happy and fulfilled. That’s why we base our activities around residents' individual interests and abilities. We will get to know you well so that we can organise group and one-to-one activities that you’ll enjoy.
You can even help around the home doing light tasks such as folding laundry or helping the maintenance man with his checks if that’s what makes you happy and gives you a sense of purpose
Typical group activities include a 'Knit and Natter' group, a gardening club, baking, quizzes and arts and crafts, while popular one-to-one sessions include reminiscence sessions and reading.
Keeping up-to-date
Our Facebook page is regularly updated with photos of what residents have been up to. You can ‘like’ the page to stay in touch with what residents and the team are doing.
Enjoying good food
Mealtimes are always a highlight at Sunningdale Court. There’s something to appeal to any appetite, and the catering team produce dishes for different dietary and cultural needs. There’s always a choice of dishes, including residents’ favourites, but if there’s nothing that appeals to you, the team will cook something especially for you.
We are also able to offer an enhanced in-room dining service with a wide range of tasty and nutritious meals and snacks for those who prefer, or need, additional distancing.
