At Tiltwood, we support your loved one to enjoy a meaningful lifestyle, enjoying each day to the full.
Our team supports your loved one to do as much as they can for themselves, including encouraging them to get involved in the day-to-day life of the home. Maintaining independence is vital to health and wellbeing in later life, so your loved one is welcome to help with some gardening, to write the daily menu choices on the blackboard, or to help bake some cakes for afternoon tea.
Making each day meaningful
Our lifestyle team also organises a wide range of daily group activities including arts and crafts, animal therapy, film afternoons, gentle exercise classes and reminiscence sessions. We also ensure there’s time for your loved one on a one-to-one basis doing any activities they would like, or simply having a chat together.
Residents and members of our day club regularly get together to socialise and do activities. We hold a creative minds session twice a month where we paint and create pictures for display around the home. We even have our own jukebox for impromptu dance sessions. We also hold a ‘bake off’ club where we bake cakes and chat about ingredients and recipes.
