Weald Heights - care-types

Care types

Weald Heights, in Sevenoaks, offers tailored professional care for older people, in hotel-style accommodation.

As one of the UK’s foremost residential care providers, Care UK are experienced in delivering exceptional person-centred care, and residents at Weald Heights enjoy the best lifestyle. By taking time to learn about their likes and dislikes, interests and life story, our team can deliver perfectly tailored care, with discretion and compassion. However, we recognise that it can be emotionally difficult to look for a care home for your loved one, so we’ve created this simple guide to the care offered at Weald Heights.

Dementia care

Life in our welcoming, state-of-the-art home is based entirely around the needs of the residents, many of whom are living with dementia. With open, airy areas, and a wide range of activities on offer, we encourage residents to remain independent and support them to make their own choices. Music, art and gentle exercise are proved to slow the memory loss and confusion associated with dementia and promote feelings of contentment and peace.

By working closely with GPs and specialist medical professionals, our highly skilled clinical team produces a comprehensive care plan tailored to your loved one’s needs and requirements, reviewing it regularly to ensure it’s up to date. Experienced at providing support for complex conditions, including Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, and Motor Neurone Disease, you can relax knowing that your loved one is being taken care of.

Residential care

Weald Heights provides a home from home atmosphere combined with a hotel-style environment. Our creative lifestyle team organise a range of engaging activities from  singalongs to gentle exercises and art and crafts. We are passionate about ensuring residents maintain a meaningful lifestyle and support residents to continue to enjoy the hobbies they love, as well as trying new things.

Residents are encouraged to make their own choices of how they spend their day, whether this is enjoying a slice of cake in the coffee shop, watching a film in the cinema of getting pampered in the hair and beauty salon.

Because our team places residents at the heart of everything, when they decided Weald Heights needed a dog, Lola arrived, and she is very much loved - and a little it spoiled, by everyone.
