Wellmeadow Lodge, send us a message

At Wellmeadow Lodge, we take the time to get to know each resident so that we can make each day special and meaningful for them.

We believe that when your loved one is encouraged to do the hobbies or routine tasks they enjoy, they will feel happier and more fulfilled. Our approach to care is based on providing ‘meaningful lifestyles’. Residents can get involved in the home’s day-to-day life in any way they want to, helping in the gardens or around the home, taking part in our many activities, going on outings or even trying something a little different.

A choice of things to do

Popular one-to-one and group activities include arts and crafts, board games, knitting, gentle exercise, gardening, music and film nights. A therapy dog visits us, and, of course, friends and family are welcome to visit at any time. Residents also enjoy local outings to shops, garden centres and the theatre. We also get out and about on daytrips to Pollok House, Blair Drummond and New Lanark.

Enjoying good food and fine dining

Residents at Wellmeadow Lodge enjoy high quality dining experiences every day. Our dining rooms are laid out in a restaurant style, with small tables, beautifully laid with glassware and menus. We also offer fine dining on special occasions, for example on Valentine's Day we set up a separate dining room for couples to enjoy a romantic meal with silver service.

We regularly host afternoon teas to mark special occasions, and often invite residents from other homes to join us for these social events. We also have a small lounge which residents' families are welcome to use for celebrations with their loved one.

Supporting health and wellbeing

Health and wellbeing, mental, physical and spiritual, are always top of our list. A local GP visits Wellmeadow Lodge twice a week, a podiatrist visits regularly too, and we are happy to arrange any healthcare appointments that your loved one may need.

A hairdresser visits the home each week so your loved one can always look their best, and we hold regular pamper sessions, offering manicures, hand massages and pedicures.

Faith is important for many of our residents, so we arrange regular services at the home, and we can support your loved one to continue to visit their own place of worship if they prefer.
