WINNER (Larger) Residential Care Provider 2017
The LaingBuisson Awards are widely considered to be the Oscars of health and social care, recognising the most inspiring and innovative work in the sector. So we were delighted to win the Larger Residential Care Provider category at the 12th national awards in November 2017.
The Residential Care Provider award pays tribute to organisations that have demonstrated outstanding residential or nursing care, with a focus on engagement with residents.
We were also shortlisted in other categories at these prestigious awards: Dementia Care and Public/Private Partnerships.
Andrew Knight, Care UK’s managing director, said: “We are honoured to have received such a high accolade and fantastic recognition for the care we provide.
“Our vision of supporting residents to live fulfilling lives is hugely important and always at the heart of everything we do. It’s a result of the compassion and dedication of our teams that this award win has been possible, I’m incredibly proud of every individual colleague.”
The award also recognises Care UK’s active role in sharing knowledge and experience across the sector and with local people. A partnership with the Association for Dementia Studies at the University of Worcester ensures Care UK’s fulfilling lives approach uses the latest academic thinking in providing the best support for older people. Care UK also runs dozens of seminars for local communities looking for information they can trust on topics such as understanding dementia, preventing falls, and Parkinson’s disease.
