Meet Angi Knight, South London Regional Director

The South London Region has a wide geographic spread and includes homes in Kent and Sussex, all of which are purpose built.

Once new colleagues start at our homes, they tend to stay a long time, finding the ethos of Care UK a positive one, that puts care first, with excellent staffing levels and support teams in all homes.

Our values of Caring , Teamwork and Passionate are evident in all that we do. We offer great training and an emphasis on developing all colleagues to take on their next career step in Care UK.

If you join us you will receive a thorough induction and work alongside a ‘buddy’ who will ensure that your initial days and weeks are as stress free as possible, and which will include a minimum 2 weeks of induction and training.

Meet Chris Hopkinson, Operations Director

Life in our South London homes

Alongside the fantastic care that we provide in South London, we have a range of engaging activities/events to bring the region together. From singers and magicians to annual barbecues, there is always something going on within the region.

We also have a Chef of the year competition where residents and staff judge the food and ultimately decide the chef of the year. Our catering experience is something we are incredibly proud of as a region and take great pride in. We are lucky to have some fantastic chefs who produce excellent locally sourced meals for our residents.

In addition to all we offer our residents, the South London region is a hub of internal promotion. Whether that be progression into a different role or development within a role. As a region, we pride ourselves on self development and there is always room to grow.

Meet Dora

Dora started her Care UK career as a Team Leader but enrolled on several internal development courses. Now she is the proud Home Manager of Skylark House care home in Horsham.

Internal progression

"My career progression within Care UK has been a journey of growth and professional development, supported every step of the way by the organisation. Starting in a frontline role, I was able to build a foundation in quality care practices, teamwork, and resident support, which prepared me to take on increasing responsibilities.

As I moved from Team Leader to Deputy Manager and ultimately Home Manager, Care UK provided me with a structured pathway for advancement.

Care UK’s commitment to employee development has been instrumental in my career progression. Their comprehensive support enabled me to gain new skills, confidence, and experience needed to grow into my current role, where I am able to make a positive impact on both the team and residents.

Since joining Care UK in 2016 I’ve completed Future Home Manager program and currently I’m doing Future Regional Director program.”
