Many catering colleagues join us from restaurants or hotels where they’re used to working long hours late into the night. I'm very proud that I started my career as a Nurse at St Vincent's House and have worked my way to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager. Care UK is excellent at seeing the potential in colleagues and supporting them to develop their skills and expertise.
The team at St Vincent's House is very close-knit and hardworking. We support each other to do our best for residents and their families. Theres always a lot to juggle each day. In my role I tackle anything from recruiting new team members to supporting colleagues with training, getting to grips with new policies and procedures, and liaising with relatives.
What I do is only possible with the support of our amazing team. They never cease to surprise me with their dedication and passion for what they do.
