A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.
I chose to join Care UK as we both share a passion for delivering quality care. This aligns our visions and motivation for continued improvement and making a difference to the forefront of residential care services.
Before joining Care UK, I ran a care home for a smaller care provider and I’m proud to have reshaped the culture in the home by recruiting many new team members which helped turn the underperforming service into one rated ‘good’ by the CQC. I am a registered Nurse and I spent nearly a decade working in Melbourne, Australia.
My favourite part of my working day is engaging with both staff and residents, observing fun activities that are meaningful to residents and observing dignity in care. I also enjoy making new relationships with key stakeholders and sharing ideas to promote best care and learning in practice.
Here at Oxbow Manor, I’m looking forward to creating an open culture, where everyone’s involved in decision-making and can feel they can come and talk to me. I want to be out on the floor as often as possible, getting to know residents and supporting the team.
