Dr Nori Graham, Vice President of the Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Disease International, has been providing her expert guidance to our care home teams since 2013, as well as delivering informative sessions in our homes to local people seeking help and support with dementia. Her belief that the cornerstone of great care is understanding each resident as an individual, has shaped Care UK’s person-centred approach to care.

In her new book, co-authored with Dr James Warner, ‘A Pocket Guide to Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias’, Dr Nori Graham shares her knowledge in the pursuit of helping those who think they may be suffering with dementia, those supporting a loved one with dementia or those seeking to gain a better understanding of what Alzheimer’s is and how it develops. Her helpful guide explains the signs, symptoms, and treatment of dementia, as well as providing critical signposts on where to seek further help.

Dr Nori Graham’s career in old age psychiatry led to her practice in many care homes during her years in the NHS. She is currently Emeritus Consultant in Psychiatry of Old Age at the Royal Free Hospital and Specialist Advisor in Mental Health and Dementia of Care UK.
