Welcome to Britten Court

Britten Court is a modern, purpose-built care home. Our experienced team provides nursing and residential care, as well as dementia care on a short-term and permanent basis. The Britten day club, which is adjacent to the home, offers care, companionship and a range of activities for people who are still living independently in the local area.

Our home has its own café, hair and beauty salon, cinema and activities area so that your loved one can continue to enjoy a superb lifestyle. Each bedroom is individually styled and has en-suite facilities, and those on the ground floor have direct access to the gardens.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

Life at our home

Living at Britten Court is exactly what our residents want it to be. As well as tailoring activities to their interests and needs, we'll always adapt and change what we do in line with residents' feedback. We work on art projects together, enjoy intergenerational activities with the local pre-school and hold our own events. There's also lots of time for one-to-one activities.

I enjoy mornings the most at Britten Court, many residents are up and about and I can spend time with them, having a chat and finding out how they plan to spend their day.

I have so many plaudits. Staff are caring and conscientious. I am able to visit the care home at anytime without making an appointment. It's pleasing to be able to just turn up, that means you can trust the care that's given.

Since my mum has gone in to the home she has flourished - this is down to the care and attention of the home. The staff treat everyone as individuals, they get to know them and do a lot with them on a one to one basis. They do a lot socially, they do Bingo, games and they hold festivals and BBQs. They are really friendly, it does not feel like a care home it feels like a home! The atmosphere of the place is great - everyone is friendly, passionate and they care about what they do.

Staff are very attentive and take good care of her. They sort things out quickly - she had to go to hospital appointments and they sorted it all for me.

There's such variety of food. 3 course meals, 3 choices of mains, and you can see in the kitchen how everything is prepared. She eats everything she's given and eats better now than she ever has!
