Our stunning new home is one of the Top 20 care homes in the South West.

Ferndown Manor only opened its doors in February 2017, but we’ve already won an award, making it to the carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Homes South West England 2018.

The carehome.co.uk awards highlight the most recommended care homes, and are based on over 55,000 reviews and recommendations from residents, and relatives and friends of residents.

By February 2018 we had already achieved a rating of 9.9 based on 23 independent reviews, securing us a top spot out of over 2,000 homes in the South West.

Unrivalled care

Ferndown Manor provides the latest in luxury living for older people, combined with a wide range of quality round-the-clock care services. Our team is dedicated and passionate about delivering the very best in residential and nursing care, short-term respite care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We also provide sensitive palliative and end of life care.

That passion and dedication is highlighted by many of the carehome.co.uk reviews, including:

“The care and kindness of the team… is exceptional”

“My mum… settled better than I could ever have imagined due to the commitment of the team, and within a short time was asking if she had to leave. Mum is very happy, more active, social and her confidence continues to grow. I did not believe mum could ever be this happy and settled in a care home.”

“The care and attention given to my mother during her two-week respite was excellent. She had very poor mobility issues upon admission and by the end of the two-week period, she was walking unaided… The staff were attentive to all her needs in a caring way, respecting her wishes and dignity.”

Tailored to your loved one

When your loved one joins us, we take time to get to know them so that we can develop care and lifestyle plans that are entirely tailored to their unique needs and interests. Our chef-led catering team learns about their likes and dislikes and tailors menus to their tastes. Everything is regularly reviewed and altered where appropriate so that your loved one is always receiving the care that’s right for them.

Enjoying each day

Keeping active and engaged in everyday life is vital as we get older as it enables us to maintain our independence and self-esteem, so we work hard to support residents to lead an active, varied and healthy lifestyle. Our lifestyle team ensures that there are planned group and one-to-one activities each day and that residents can continue doing routine tasks if they wish to, such as watering plants, gardening or laying the table for dinner.
