Here at Mill View care home we provide a warm welcome in luxurious surroundings and the very best in care, from short respite stays, through to full time nursing and residential care.

If you'd like more information on room availability, pricing, to book a viewing, or have any other questions about the home, we'll be happy to help.

We are also proud of our expertise in caring for people with dementia. All our care home team undertakes special experiential dementia training, developed by our own in-house experts, and this gives us real insight into what life is like for people living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Expect more from Mill View

Mill View really lifts the bar in terms of what you can expect from a care home. When it comes to facilities we have everything anyone could need and more than you’d expect – from a coffee shop to a cinema, a shop and a hair and beauty salon. These all enable our residents to stay active and independent – making each day different and fun.

But it’s our people, from our care team to our chefs and our housekeepers, who really make the difference for our residents. Everyone works hard to make every person, whatever their needs, feel valued and cared for.

Independence is the key

We opened in East Grinstead in May 2012 but our care home team is very close-knit, and that shows in the joined up, quality care each member of staff provides. Our approach to care is personalised to the individual resident. We get to know every person we care for – from their physical needs, to their personality, hobbies and interests. Then we set about creating a care plan that’s unique to them. We plan activities around their interests and even create menus to include the dishes they enjoy.

Keeping active

Our activity co-ordinators, pride themselves on planning individual and group activities that get everyone involved. We do anything from baking and gentle exercise to music, to arts and crafts and even gardening. Often groups and performers come to Mill View to see us, but we like to get out and about in East Grinstead and explore our beautiful part of the country too. Residents have been on trips to the Ashdown Forest, to the seaside at Brighton and Eastbourne, and to historic attractions like Hever Castle and Chartwell, the country home of Sir Winston Churchill.  We have recently taken delivery of our own minibus, so trips out will become easier.

Support for you and your loved one

We understand that moving a loved one in to a care home is one of life’s big changes. We’ll support you throughout the entire process to make the experience as easy as possible and will work with you to make sure that your loved one maintains their independence and routine. We also welcome visitors at any time of the day so you can pop in for a slice of cake and a chat with your loved one at any time that’s convenient.

Find out more

Please take your time to look around our site. There’s lots of information about daily life at Mill View, including some of the events we’ve been hosting. You can learn more about our home and read what residents’ families have to say about Mill View.

However, we’d love to show you around our lovely care home in person. We’ll be able to answer any questions you have and you’ll know instantly whether your loved one will feel at home here. Give us a call or pop into East Grinstead for a visit. We look forward to meeting you at Mill View soon.
