Care Home Open Day success at Meadow Court care home

Meadow Court care home on Barley Lane welcomed the people of Ilford through its doors for an event to celebrate Care Home Open Day.

Meadow Court was one of thousands of care homes across the UK which took part in the annual initiative aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with even more people in their community, and developing relationships across the generations.

Residents and visitors enjoyed a host of activities at Meadow Court including celebrations in honour of The Queen’s 90th birthday. Live entertainment and games helped everyone get into the party spirit and all those who dropped-by had the opportunity to meet the Care UK team at Meadow Court and take a tour of the care home.

Vikash Ramphul, home manager at Meadow Court, said: “Our doors are always open, but Care Home Open Day was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate with visitors, residents and colleagues alike.  We all are proud of the warm and welcoming quality care environment we have created here at Meadow Court, and we took great delight in showcasing our home and all the good work we do here.

“The day was a real success, and everyone enjoyed getting involved in the activities and building on our links with the local community.”
