Our brand new purpose-built care home in Ware, Hertfordshire, opened in September 2017.

At Snowdrop House we deliver a full range of personalised care services for older people, including residential and nursing care, short-term respite care and specialist care for people living with dementia. We also provide sensitive and supportive palliative and end of life care.

We believe that when a person moves into a care home, they should be able to continue to enjoy the lifestyle that they always have. The only difference is that you, and they, have the peace of mind that expert care is on hand 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Tailored care

Our dedicated team take a person-centred approach to caring for residents, working with them and their families to get to know them as well as possible. That includes getting a comprehensive understanding of the resident’s physical needs, learning about their likes and dislikes, and discovering their hobbies, life stories and interests.

Armed with all this information the team at Snowdrop House design a care plan that’s entirely tailored to your loved one’s unique needs, which they’ll continuously update as your loved one’s needs change.

Fun and fulfilling days

Our home teams are dedicated to enabling residents to enjoy fulfilling experiences every day. Activity based care is at the heart of what we do. That means we help residents to continue to be as active as possible and to play a part in the life of Snowdrop House. Our activity coordinators plan engaging activities every day, and residents will be welcome to have their own ‘jobs’ in the home if that’s what they’d like. Some residents might lay the table for lunch, others may want to help with the gardening and some residents might like being charity fundraisers. Luxury living

As with all Care UK’s new build care homes, the emphasis at Snowdrop House is on luxury and comfort. Our talented catering teams prepare delicious meals and snacks – all according to residents’ likes and dislikes. The home even has its own hair salon, coffee shop and cinema, so your loved one won’t need to leave the building to enjoy a great lifestyle. What’s more, each bedroom has been individually decorated and comes fully equipped with private en-suite facilities. Find out more about the home
