Our brand new purpose-built care home in Ware, Hertfordshire, will open in the autumn of 2017.

Snowdrop House will deliver a full range of residential and nursing care for older people, including short-term respite care, specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, plus palliative and end of life care.

We believe that, when a person moves into a care home, they should be able to continue to enjoy the lifestyle that they always have. The only difference is that you, and they, have the peace of mind that expert care is on hand 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Tailored care

The teams at Snowdrop House in Ware will take a person-centred approach to caring for residents, working with them and their families to get to know them as well as possible. That includes getting a comprehensive understanding of the resident’s physical needs, learning about their likes and dislikes, and discovering their hobbies, life stories and interests.

Armed with all this information they’ll design a care plan that’s entirely tailored to your loved one’s unique needs and which they’ll continuously update as your loved one’s needs change.

Fun and fulfilling days

Our home teams are dedicated to enabling residents to enjoy fulfilling experiences every day. Activity based care is at the heart of what we do. That means we help residents to continue to be as active as possible and to play a part in the life of Snowdrop House. Our activity coordinators will plan engaging activities every day, and residents will be welcome to have their own ‘jobs’ in the home if that’s what they’d like. Some residents might lay the table for lunch, others may want to help with the gardening and some residents might like being charity fundraisers. Find out more about what we’ll be doing on the daily life page.

Luxury living

As with all Care UK’s new build care homes, the emphasis at Snowdrop House will be on luxury and comfort. We’ll have talented catering teams to prepare delicious meals and snacks – all according to residents’ likes and dislikes. The home will even have its own hair salon, coffee shop and cinema, so residents won’t need to leave the building to enjoy a great lifestyle. What’s more, each resident bedroom will be individually decorated and have en-suite facilities. Find out more about the home

Here when you need us

We appreciate how difficult it is to choose a care home for a much-loved family member. It’s a difficult and stressful time that affects all the family. Our team is committed to making the process as easy as possible and will be on hand to support you, from your first visit to the home, throughout your loved one’s time with us.

This will be your loved one’s home, so we also wouldn’t dream of imposing visiting hours. You’ll be welcome to visit at any time of the night or day and to stay for as long as you like, and you’re welcome too to play a practical part in your loved one’s daily routines if that’s what you’d like.
