At our bright and welcoming home, our team treats residents with care and devotion, like members of their own family.
Stanley Park is an inviting, purpose-built care home set in a peaceful residential location in the small town of Stanley, County Durham. Our skilled and caring home team provides a full range of care services for older people, including residential, dementia residential and dementia nursing and respite care, care for people living with dementia, and end of life care.
Quality care is tailored care
The best type of care is tailored care. So we get to know your loved one very well, finding out about their life history, family, jobs and interests. We then put together a care plan so that we give them the care they need in a way that suits them. Residents and families are involved in care planning, ensuring that everything we do is based on your wishes.
At Stanley Park, we believe that moving into a care home is just another part of life, so we support residents to continue to enjoy meaningful activities and experiences every day – what we call ‘meaningful lifestyles’. That might mean helping around the home by laying the tables for lunch or helping to make the planters in the garden look lovely.
Happy times every day
We also organise regular fun group and one-to-one activities, all tailored to residents’ hobbies and interests. Some of the most popular activities at the moment are ‘singing bingo’ and wheelchair exercise sessions. Residents (and the home team) also love our local Elvis impersonator, who regularly puts in an appearance, creating a buzz around the home. We like to keep things interesting, so we regularly organise something a bit different. Find out more on our daily life page.
Stanley Park has its own pub, which has become the heart of the home and where we do many of our activities. However, the location of the home means it’s easy to get out and about into Stanley whenever we want to, to the shops or the weekly market. Find out more about what the home has to offer on our about the home page.
