Care UK is a leading independent provider of health and social care. Working in close partnership with local authorities, primary care trusts (PCTs) and strategic health authorities (SHAs), the company draws on almost 30 years of experience to provide tailor-made service solutions, including residential, community, specialist, primary and secondary care.
Care UK operates 60 nursing and residential homes for older people and provides more than 118,000 hours of care and support every week to people in their own homes. We offer supported living services for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
In the health sector, we are the largest operator by far of independent sector treatment centres in the UK and we are very active across a wide spectrum of primary care services. We operate GP practices, NHS walk-in centres and GP out-of-hours services, as well as highly innovative Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS).
Today one in five people in the UK population has access to one of the many Care UK facilities. We currently serve all of the SHAs, we work with one in three PCTs and we provide social care and support services to more than half of the commissioning local authorities.

For the older people we care for, we recognise that we can improve the quality of the life they lead by being attentive to their individual needs and by helping them to stay as active as their health allows them.
In our healthcare activities, we take primary and secondary care services closer to where people live and work, enabling them to get on with their daily lives. We improve their speed of access to care and the efficacy of their care, to help them lead fuller lives.
