Care UK is a leading independent provider of health and social care in the UK. We operate a broad range of services across the UK. Over the course of a year, Care UK cares for approximately half a million people through many different kinds of service, with a workforce that is dedicated to providing excellent care.
Health Care
GP practices and GP Led Healthcare Centres
We run 11 GP Led Healthcare Centres all of which provide both a GP Practice and Walk in service with 1 additional stand alone General Practice.
Out of Hours (OoH)
We operate 4 Out of Hours services 2 of which also offer Urgent Care Services.
NHS Walk-in Centres
We run 2 stand alone NHS Walk-in Centres, providing fast and accessible treatment for patients, along with the 11 walk in services available through our GP Led Healthcare Centres.
Offender Health
We provide primary care services in 8 prisons.
NHS Clinical Assessment & Treatment Services (CATS)
We operate 3 CATS, providing a 'one stop service' closer to patients' homes and also run a diagnostic centre in Rotherham.
NHS Treatment Centres
We run 10 NHS Treatment Centres, providing surgery and diagnostic tests for over 37,000 patients each year. We have 152 day case beds, 136 inpatient beds and 20 Chemotherapy placements. In patient satisfaction survey results 94% of patients rate us as excellent or very good for overall quality of care.
Social Care
Older people
We manage 59 nursing and / or residential care facilities:
• Over 3500 beds
• 47 of which are registered to provide dementia care.
• 8 with day care facilities with over 130 day care places available
• 12 registered to provide physical disability care
• 3 registered to provide sensory impairment care
• 4 registered to provide terminally ill care
• Over 90% of our residential and nursing care facilities are rated excellent or good.
We also provide over 121,000 hours of homecare every week to more than 14,000 service users in their own homes, plus:
• We provide care in over 8,000 supported living placements
• We have over 50 branches nationwide.
• Over 90% of our homecare services are rated good or excellent.
• In the last year, we provided a total of 6.3 million hours of homecare.
Mental health
We provide community care, specialist rehabilitation, high dependency residential care, specialist nursing homes and low secure units for 340 people with mental health needs.
Learning disabilities
As a quality care provider, we currently help 550 individuals with learning disabilities through independent supported living, flexible domiciliary support and active days schemes. We also operate respite support and short break services in addition to residential care services.
Children's services
We provide residential and crisis care, fostering, specialist education and safe, nurturing environments for children and young people.
