We were recognised in two categories for re-igniting colleagues’ affinity with us, through the Fulfilling Lives, Fulfilling Careers proposition. By integrating creative agency Dragonfish into the business, we were able to achieve our objectives, with a 5% increase in nurse applications, 10% improvement in employee engagement and 330% in applications.

UK Employee Experience Awards

Care UK was named as one of the country’s top employers in the 2017 Employee Experience Awards, which recognises UK employers who are delivering an exceptional employee experience, including promoting continuous improvement, learning and personal development.

We won in the Government and Public Services category for our success in recruiting and retaining quality colleagues and supporting them to develop their potential. The care sector is highly competitive, and providers must take a different approach to find, and keep, quality candidates. The Care UK HR team tailors its recruitment brand and advertising to particular groups of people, whether they are looking to work part time, are in the middle of their careers, or are searching for a new challenge and career advancement.

Engage Awards 2016

The Engage Awards are the only customer and employee engagement awards in the UK. In 2016 Care UK was shortlisted for its sustained ten-year programme to improve communication between care home colleagues, managers and the support teams who help them to deliver great care for residents. A consultation forum, a weekly bulletin for managers, a bi-weekly newsletter and new intranet have all promoted communication between head office teams and our many homes, enhancing employee satisfaction and reducing turnover.
