A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.
I’ve worked in the care sector for nearly 30 years and am passionate about dementia care and end of life care, in particular, I’m currently studying for a Masters degree in dementia care studies.
In this role it’s important to lead by example and to keep a calm head. Knowledge and experience are important, I started out as a carer and worked my way up, so I know the challenges faced by my team.
Care UK’s ethos of care, which puts residents at the heart of everything, echoes my own values. The organisation also offers superb training and development opportunities so that colleagues can learn and progress their careers.
I am focused on continuous improvement and have worked on a number of initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life for people with dementia, including using technology to promote health and wellbeing. I’m looking forward to supporting the team at Rush Hill Mews to achieve outstanding levels of care.
