Head of Communications

The Role:

The Head of Communications will oversee all internal and external communications. They will lead a process with other marketing Heads of Department to ensure effective integration of campaign content across all channels. The role will also work closely with colleagues in HR and Central Operations to drive and support employee engagement and cultural change through effective embedding of brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a communications strategy alignment aligning internal and external messaging.
• Manage PR agency support for maximum effect.
• Oversee the smooth running of the press office function.
• Oversee an awards programme which celebrates company and individual achievements and contributes to our Trusted to Care brand positioning
• Work with internal stakeholders to drive corporate social responsibility activity including in areas such as Environmental Social, Governance (ESG) and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
• Delivering an internal  communications programme which leverages our brand values to actively drive employee engagement and recruitment and retention
• Own the communications plans for any acquisition or divestment projects.
• Act as guardian of our tone of voice and style guidelines.
• Manage the communications budget for maximum impact.

What We’re Looking For:

• A proven track record in planning, delivering, and evaluating communication strategies to both internal and external audiences, ideally for large multi-site organisations.
• A proven track record in both proactive and reactive media relations.
• Be willing to travel to other sites / care homes.
