Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I’m a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in care home management. I’ve achieved my Level 4 in Management training and am also a qualified mental health first aider.

I have experience working for large care providers and care homes, including looking after a multi-site home that I helped to turn around from a Requires Improvement rating to Good in all areas within six months. I joined Care UK after hearing great things and wanting to become part of the team.

My role is centred around making sure residents and families are happy, and my favourite part of my job is spending time with residents and their relatives. In this role, it’s important to be open, friendly and outgoing. I believe the Home Manager needs to be a people person, have an open-door policy and always be approachable.

As a team, we support each other like a family through good times and bad. I feel proud of what we do when residents are happy in the home.

I like reading and doing crafts when I’m not working. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
