The role: The Finance Manager: Projects will lead and support a range of finance‑related projects, including acquisitions, systems implementations, and technical accounting changes. The role combines hands‑on financial analysis, data migration, systems implementations, and process design with project delivery responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquisitions and onboarding
  • Lead finance workstreams during care home acquisitions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting for acquired homes.
  • Support integration of third-party finance teams.
  • Manage data migration, KPI capture, banking setup, cashflow forecasting, compliance and financial controls.
  • Hands-on review of data, analysis, account/data mapping
  • Leasing standard implementation
  • Support the implementation of a new leasing system
  • Validate lease data and assess assumptions used.
  • Assess the accuracy of the system calculations and logic.
  • Assess the requirements of the accounting standard and its application.
  • Create a process for the posting of leasing journals.
• Systems implementations
  • Act as finance lead for system implementations.
  • Define, test, and validate finance requirements.
  • Challenge legacy processes and support optimisation before rollout.
  • Ensure accurate data migration and reconciliation to support successful system go‑lives.
  • Maintain financial controls over the implementation period.
• General finance support
  • Provide backfill for finance colleagues during project periods, where required.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship within the finance community.
  • Applying internal controls and related documentation, including SOX documentation.

What We're Looking For:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Financial and management accounting in a corporate environment in a multi-site commercial business
• Experience delivering financial projects, data migration or systems implementations
