The purpose of this role: To provide effective and timely ER advice to operational leaders and managers on a range of ER issues and manage an ER caseload. The successful candidate will also support the wider ER team in the management and co-ordination of the shared team mailbox.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed guidance and support to managers on specific ER cases based on our people policies and employment legislation e.g. disciplinary investigations/hearings, performance/capability, short term and long-term absence and flexible working
• Review and revise letters, investigation reports & meeting notes
• Follow up on ER cases to ensure that Operational Managers are carrying out their actions within the agreed time
• Reviewing long-term absence reports and take actions forward to support operational managers in reducing long-term absence
• Management of the ER team mailbox

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience of working in a busy HR team where there is a wide range of casework including investigations, disciplinary, absence and performance management.
• Up to date knowledge and application of employment law and an understanding of the upcoming changes to employment legislation
• A commitment to personal development and growth within the ER team or wider HR Department
• 1 - 2 years ER casework experience, preferably in a multi-site operations environment
