Have you considered working in the care sector, but weren't able to commit to 12-hour shifts?

Perhaps you're a student wanting to pick up a few hours a week, a busy parent who needs to work around the school run, or you want to gradually reduce your hours as you approach retirement.

Care UK now offers unique flexible working patterns in select locations that allow you to choose four, eight or 12-hour shifts that work for you.

Whatever your situation, we're here to help you find a career in care that works for you.

Why is Care UK offering flexible working?

At Care UK, we know how rewarding a career in care can be. But rigid, 12-hour shift patterns can hold some people back from working in the care sector. We want to ensure that a career in care is accessible to all, fits around life commitments and is a rewarding and fulfilling part of your life.

That’s why we became one of the first care providers to trial flexible working.

Who is flexible working for?

Is an eight-hour shift perfect for getting you back home in time to see your kids before bedtime? Could a four-hour shift after school hours open new career possibilities for you as a student, or work around caring responsibilities in your personal life?

Maybe you have health issues that prevent you from being on your feet for a whole 12-hour shift, or you’re planning for retirement and are looking to reduce your hours.

We understand our colleagues have their own lives outside of work, and we can flex to work around your schedule – including mixing and matching hours where needed.
