Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I have a wealth of experience in the care industry, starting my career as a Care Assistant and working my way to the Deputy Manager at Hollins Park care home, and now as the Home Manager at Deewater Grange.

I decided to work for Care UK as its values align with my own, and I wanted to be part of a supportive team that works together to provide the best possible care.

As part of my professional development with Care UK, I’m proud to have achieved my level 4 care apprenticeship, and to have been nominated as Apprentice of the year.

In this role, you need to be empathetic, compassionate, dedicated and a good communicator. I really enjoy working in an environment which enriches the lives of others and we strive to make a difference to the lives of our Deewater Grange family.

One of the great aspects of my job here at Care UK is watching the residents smile and spending the time getting to know them, their personal preferences and their personality.

The most important part of my role is to make sure everyone here feels safe, happy and content in life. I also just want to do a good job and ensure residents, their families and the staff feel supported and happy.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, walking and playing sports.
