Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

Ive been a qualified Mental Health Nurse for 23 years, and before I joined the Perry Manor team in 2016 was the Deputy Hospital Director of a psychiatric hospital. Having previously worked for Care UK in its mental health division, I respected the organisations ‘care first, business second ethos, so it was a natural choice when I wanted the challenge of running a residential care home.

I have a passion for person-centred care and I see how hard my team works every day to deliver impressively personalised care. I love walking around the home chatting to residents, relatives and colleagues. I also enjoy delivering colleague training. Every member of the team brings something different, and supporting them to achieve their potential is a large part of what I do.

Its been an exciting few years at Perry Manor. In late 2018 we were thrilled to receive an ‘outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission at our routine quality inspection. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this rating.

Im also honoured to have won some recent awards: RCN nursing older adults awards 2022 best for specialist dementia service of the year 2023

Away from work, I like to unwind by doing yoga or some gardening. My two children keep me busy too.
