Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I joined Care UK in 2007, as a Care Assistant. I chose this profession because of my passion and love for aiding others to live a fulfilled and independent life. Whilst undertaking my job a senior, manager saw my potential and I was promoted to Senior Care Assistant. Following this, I was then promoted to Team Leader.

Being a team leader I aimed to ensure my team was happy and everything done collaboratively ensuring that residents were included in decisions that wherever possible. There was never a dull moment on my shift and with time I've gotten to know all the residents on a personal level whilst maintaining the standard of professionalism expected by staff and the organisation.

My team and I have a genuine passion for caring for residents and ensuring theyre treated with respect and dignity, my philosophy is that there are no weak links in the team and it is a daily challenge that I set for myself to develop others as well as myself so residents receive the best care. Family and friends have an expectation that their relative is treated with the best care and over the years I have seen the level of trust they have in us as we continue to grow.
