Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

My early career started out in education, but my path stumbled into care and I found my true vocation, working my way up to become a care home manager at another home before joining Ridley Manor. I have completed a post-graduate diploma in dementia, and currently I am completing my Master’s degree in dementia care too.

To be successful and good as a General Manager, I believe that you should be empathetic, caring, supportive and have the passion to be able to look after all the changing needs of the residents entrusted into your care. By the same token you need to be able to support, encourage and motivate your team to be able to achieve their career goals and be the best version of themselves.

My biggest career highlight has been meeting the great Nelson Mandela and being able to spend a few moments in his company.
