A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.
I joined Salisbury Manor because I wanted to make a difference. Every day is different, and I love how Care UK ensures that residents are living fulfilling lives. It's important that we are not only respectful of each other, but also of the fact that this is the residents’ home, and it is a privilege to support them.
I qualified as a nurse in 2003 – it was such a dream. Even today I feel proud to be a nurse. I have worked in a variety of roles and gained different experiences. Before working at Salisbury Manor, I was a Deputy Ward Sister at New Hall Hospital for two years, and before that I spent 19 years at Salisbury Hospital.
I believe that to be Home Manager, you need to lead by example. We are here to serve residents and make their lives fulfilled, so it’s important to be supportive and ready to listen. You also need to empower the team and help them to learn and grow.
